Workshop sweater dress (clearance Steinmart); Candies Mary Janes (Kohl's clearance years ago); Tights (can't recall but gray is a fave color); Necklace/earring set (thrift store) You may notice that I rarely wear jewelry sets together, believing that one statement piece is enough to make a statement, especially when you're a short, skinny person. The government has bailed out Wall Street before, through the Resolution Trust Corp. in 1989.[20]  The government established the Corp. to deal with hundreds of insolvent thrifts that were not covered by the FDIC.[21]  The Corp. eventually helped to dispose of many of those thrifts while protecting many depositors.[22]  If the Corp. is used as the model for oversight in this situation, there will be a strong emphasis on aggressively pursuing professionals… [read post]

Well, there's a not altogether unsatisfactory progressive story that might focus on the decimation of the Hoover-era thrifts during the deregulation-wrought 'S&L Crisis' of the 1980s and early 1990s, which institutions were ultimately replaced by unregulated 'mortgage banks' like Countrywide in the 1990s.
